چکیده
One of the important activities to achieve implementation REDD+ is measurement and reporting carbon stocks (Masripatin et.al. 2010). Information on potential for in a plant stand or forest area can provide an overview related parties added value that will be obtained if it maintains develops certain species support reduction greenhouse gas emissions. This study aims determine biomass, stocks, economic valuation several Ebony stands contained Kawanua Arboretum BP2LHK Manado. The types were object this Dyospiros celebica, rumphii, ebenum. Determination biomass using allometric equation. valuations each are based selling set by World Bank Group. Based results study, known stand, namely Diospyros 74.246 tons/ha, followed storage celebica 67.768 tons/ha ebenum 64.977 tons / ha, while highest found rumphii USD 148.492 135.536 129.954

Ecosystem carbon stocks in Pinus palustris forests
Longleaf pine (Pinus palustris Mill.) restoration in the southeastern United States offers opportunities for carbon (C) sequestration. Ecosystem C stocks are not well understood in longleaf pine forests, which are typically of low density and maintained by prescribed fire. The objectives of this research were to develop allometric equations for aboveand below-ground biomass and quantify ecosyst...

NATURE CLIMATE CHANGE | VOL 5 | DECEMBER 2015 | www.nature.com/natureclimatechange Climate change is an urgent societal issue that can be addressed by a combination of reduced emissions and climate mitigation strategies, including those based on natural carbon (C) stores (that is, biosequestration). The need to reduce atmospheric CO2 concentrations combined with global interest in C trading and...

متن کاملCarbon stocks across a chronosequence of thinned and unmanaged red pine (Pinus resinosa) stands.
Forests function as a major global C sink, and forest management strategies that maximize C stocks offer one possible means of mitigating the impacts of increasing anthropogenic CO2 emissions. We studied the effects of thinning, a common management technique in many forest types, on age-related trends in C stocks using a chronosequence of thinned and unmanaged red pine (Pinus resinosa) stands r...
